Mr. Vishnu Varshney |

Mr. Vishnu Varshney is an Electrical Engineer from IIT, Kanpur. He holds M.S. in Electrical Engineering and MBA degrees from Louisiana State University, USA. He has 29 years experience in Equity Investments, Project Planning and Implementation and Turnaround.
He is a recipient of Who’s Who in American College and Universities. He underwent an 18-week internship with Hambro International Equity Partners, USA on Venture Capital and also attended a training program organized by NVCA & NASBIC, USA in 1991.
He is one of the founder members of Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA). He served as its Chairman and Secretary. He has been a Member of National Panel on Economic Affairs—CII, a Member of SEBI Committee on Venture Capital, a Member of IT Task Force – CII, Gujarat Chapter, Chairman – Indo American Chamber of Commerce.
He is on the advisory board of incubations at IIT - Kanpur, IIM - Ahmedabad, National Institute of Design - Ahmedabad, Nirma University - Ahmedabad and MICA - Ahmedabad.
He has presented several Papers on Venture Capital at both National & International Level. He is recipient of first “Outstanding and Innovative Finance Man of the Year 2002” from Gujarat Finance Companies Association, Ahmedabad and has been felicitated by CII for his contribution to development of IT industry through Venture Capital.
He has co-authored a book on venture capital ‘Global Handbook of Venture Capital’ published recently by Aspatore books, USA. Cornell University has undertaken two investee companies of GVFL as case studies.
Mr. Varshney is Chief of Mentoring at NirmaLabs.
