Mr. K. Thyagrajan (Tyagi) is a mechanical engineer by background, with post-graduate qualifications in business and industrial management and specialization in roller bearing technology. He has a professional career spanning close to 25 years.
He was with Dalal Mott MacDonald for close to 20 years and was for 16 years with its Management Consultancy Division. Eventually he was the head of their Knowledge Management and Learning & Development division at Corporate level.
Mr. Thyagrajan has worked on a variety of business advisory projects and consulting engagements for several leading business houses in India, MNCs, central and state governments and multilateral agencies like The World Bank, ADB, EC, etc.
He is an active educator and trainer and is involved in conducting programmes for professional managers, management students and teachers. He is associated with several academic institutions and universities and is on the Board of Studies of Sardar Patel University for a Masters’ program in E-Business and a graduate and postgraduate programme in Tourism. He has been involved with several teachers’ training programs for schools across Gujarat.
Mr. Thyagrajan is also closely associated with several professional bodies and international organisations that include CII (ex-member of the Governing Council, member of the CIT council and two term Chairman of the Tourism council), Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (ex-Sr. Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Helpdesk and Info centre), Indo American Education Society- United States Educational Foundation in India (Board member) and the UNESCO Association in Gujarat (General Secretary). He has been a prolific writer, columnist, poet and dramatist in Hindi, English and Gujarati.
